Counsellor/Psychotherapist - Children and Young Person (CYP)
BACP accredited
Fully remote - UK only
Permanent. Full or part time (minimum of 2 days per week -16 hours)
£36,500* per annum plus excellent Bupa benefits
*based on full-time, if part-time this will be pro-rata
Operational Hours:
CYP service: 09:00 to 20:00, with a strong preference for after school appointments as these are in high demand.
This role will be primarily for our young persons pathway, but will also include adult clients too.

Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Counsellor/Psychotherapist, you’ll:
1. Provide telephone counselling to a varied caseload of children and young people
2. Deliver short, medium, and longer-term support depending on individual needs
3. Conduct mental health triage assessments and manage risk appropriately
4. Work in line with professional standards and regulatory frameworks
5. Maintain accurate records and follow Bupa’s policies and procedures
6. Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure high-quality care
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about supporting young people and confident working independently in a remote setting. You’ll need:
7. A recognised counselling diploma qualification (Level 4 or higher)
8. Must have BACP accreditation
9. At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience working with children and young people
10. Experience supporting clients with a range of presenting issues, including complex cases
11. Ideally, previous experience delivering telephone counselling
12. Strong IT skills – confident using MS Office and MS Teams
13. A flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends
