Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the Trust
The management structure of the Trust encompasses a divisional structure in which OMFS is encompassed in the Head and Neck Division together with Orthodontics, Ophthalmology, ENT and Audiology, Community Dentistry and Oral Surgery The directorates are financially autonomous, span both sites and have their own Clinical Director and Service Manager.
The clinical team is made up of 10 Consultants who specialise in H&N cancer, major trauma and skin cancer, as well as orthognathic and TMJ surgery. We have a team of Associate Specialists and Staff Grades and Middle Grades and Junior Doctors who support our periphery sites as well as the 1st and 2nd on-call rota.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. BDS & MBBS or Equivalent
Desirable criteria
2. Post graduate qualification eg MD PhD
Higher qualifications
Essential criteria
3. Fellowship in Dental Surgery or Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery or equivalent
Desirable criteria
4. MFDS, MJDF, IMRCS, MDS
Registration
Essential criteria
5. Full Registration with General Medical Council (GMC) and or General Dental Council (GDC)
Specialty / Sub Specialty

6. Demonstrable evidence of specialist interest in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
7. Broad based experience in general Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
