The demand for school staff is at an all-time high which is why we are currently recruiting for trainee teaching assistants who may not have worked in a school before but possess all the characteristics to be successful. You will supporting multiple schools in the local area or in one school where you can support the whole school’s needs. This is a great opportunity to work with children and gain experience in the education setting.
The Role:
* Full or Part time opportunities Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3:15pm (Term time only)
* Support children with learning difficulties, emotional difficulties, academics, and well-being
* Training provided - safeguarding level 2, autism awareness & more!
* Pay £12.90 to £15 per hour
What has worked very well previously in this type of role is candidates with sports, youth work, care, nursing, coaching, drama, and personal experience with children. Your personality and attitude are the main factor when choosing the successful trainee teaching assistant. A minimum of core GCSEs is required.
This teaching assistant role consists of working 1:1 and in small groups with children with either challenging behaviour or special educational needs. You will build a rapport with the child to gain their attention and help them focus on the work, aiding their learning. The types of special needs you will be supporting are autism, ADHD, hearing and visual impairment, social and emotional and mental health!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
