Our client is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic AV Systems Production Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AV installation, wiring, and assembly, and a strong interest in audio, video, and control systems. This is a key role within the production team, requiring a proactive, self-motivated approach and a passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions. Main Responsibilities You will work on multiple bespoke projects, each with specific challenges and requirements tailored to client needs. Your role will involve preparation, final assembly, looming, and terminating a wide range of AV cabling and hardware, as well as product testing prior to shipping. Duties include: Assembly and wiring of AV system hardware and terminating specialist connectors using crimp and solder terminations. Looming and interconnecting hardware components. Interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams to assemble products in accordance with standards and best practices. Contributing AV systems knowledge and experience to the manufacturing process. Working as part of a small team. Following internal process control and quality control procedures. Maintaining clean and efficient work areas. Following all necessary health & safety procedures. Qualifications and Skills Essential Recognised technical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, SVQ, BTEC National Certificate/Diploma, A-Level). Excellent hands-on skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret and follow wiring schematics and technical documentation. Knowledge and experience of IT networks, firmware, fault finding, and testing. Knowledge and experience of digital video and digital/analogue audio. Knowledge of networked control systems (e.g. Crestron, AMX). Proven soldering, cable preparation, and terminating skills. Strong team communication. Willingness to contribute to team success and personal development. Qualifications and Skills Desirable Full, clean UK driving licence.
