Job Description Summary:
The Facility Engineering Manager oversees facility maintenance, coordinating with building owners and external vendors to define maintenance requirements and services. Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC, exhaust systems, A/C units, air compressors, fire abatement equipment, and site electrical systems. The role also involves oversight of engineering activities within a semiconductor clean room environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Create annual cost forecasts for maintenance of buildings, support systems, and manufacturing equipment.
2. Submit proposals for capital projects related to facility improvements, repairs, and energy efficiency upgrades.
3. Manage maintenance staff and cleanroom cleaning personnel.
4. Plan and initiate construction projects in collaboration with contractors, architects, and engineers.
5. Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory audits.
6. Ensure calibration and inspection of equipment.
7. Oversee hazardous waste management, documentation, and employee training.
8. Coordinate space allocation and layout within the facility.
9. Manage procurement processes for supplies and projects.
10. Propose and control expenditures for facilities and cleanroom equipment.
11. Ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety standards.
12. Maintain ISO or AS9 standards and certifications.
13. Ensure cleanroom facilities meet technical and workmanship standards.
14. Investigate and resolve building control system alarms promptly.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment.
* Ability to lead process improvement initiatives.
* Experience managing multiple suppliers and service providers.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in facility engineering or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in a similar role supporting multidisciplinary facility operations and management.
Additional Information:
* This role requires 50% travel.
