Here at GXO, we’re looking for a detail-driven Data Administrator within Payroll to join our HR and Payroll team at our ASOS site, in Barnsley. This role is a perfect blend of payroll processing and data management, supporting the smooth delivery of payroll while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Producing reports and dashboards using Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Data Models)
* Supporting weekly and monthly payroll cycles, including overtime, absence, and holiday records
* Supporting statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP), HMRC forms, and compliance reporting
* Implementing and maintaining payroll trackers, spreadsheets, and databases for accurate monitoring of pay, attendance, and absence data
* Maintaining accurate payroll data across HRIS and Time & Attendance systems
* Responding to payroll queries and resolving discrepancies
* Auditing and cleansing data to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance
Qualifications and Profile
* Passion for data with a desire for Payroll; thrive on accuracy and love solving data puzzles; juggle spreadsheets, systems, and deadlines with ease
* Strong administrative experience, ideally in payroll or data‑heavy roles
* Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting)
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, analytical mindset
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong problem‑solving skills and excellent communication
* Knowledge of UK Payroll legislation and experience with HRIS or T&A systems is a bonus
Role Details
This is a full‑time, permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:30 till 17:00.
