We want Kohler Mira to be the "employer of choice". The role of Early Careers Talent Specialist will be key in delivering our exciting early careers talent plans and initiatives. Reporting into the HR Director - Kohler Mira, this role offers the opportunity to manage a wide range of early careers talent initiatives, adding value to well established and celebrated early careers programme. This involves supporting the development and delivery of school, college and university outreach and full responsibility for our apprenticeship and Year in Industry programmes. Working across our entire business, the role focuses on creating a sustainable talent pipeline addressing areas of business growth and critical skills gaps. The role is perfect an individual who would like to work in a busy HR team managing our Early Careers programme with the ambition to deliver high quality early careers initiatives within our apprenticeship programme, STEM ambassador and educational outreach programme, work experience and Year in Industry placement scheme. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES -Take full responsibility for delivery of the early careers 2025/26 plan including, role identification, recruitment, onboarding and pastoral care of all early careers associates. -Partner with our apprentice managers to provide support and guidance through recruitment and onboarding to course guidance and progression to preparation for apprenticeship assessments and transition to a permanent role. -Be responsible for the organisation of our apprentice open evenings and assessment centres, and other recruitment activities. -Work with training providers (Universities and Colleges) and apprentice managers to ensure all early careers associates are progressing with their qualification and ensure that associates are being given value add projects within the business to support their studies. -Chair the early careers steering committee to provide guidance and governance on the direction of the programme. -Work with local schools and a team of STEM ambassadors to design and deliver innovative ways to attract a diverse talent pool into the business, including via activities such as careers fairs, speed networking, on site events, mentoring schemes and competitions. -Coordinate all work experience requests and liaise with work experience coordinators to ensure these weeks are planned to provide students with a positive learning experience. -With the help of the finance team, be responsible for any wage changes and bonus payments, department expenditure and the levy fund. -Use key talent metrics to enable monitoring and evaluation of programmes. -Act as a key point of contact for internal and external early careers enquiries. Skills/Requirements -Passion for developing the current and future early careers talent of the business, with experience in either early careers (apprenticeships, graduate programmes, STEM outreach), the education sector or learning and development. -Experience of working in HR or recruitment would be beneficial. -Experience of working with young people. -Project Management skills, with the ability to deliver projects and events from inception to completion. -Experience of successful relationship building, incorporating new and innovative ways to partner externally and internally to deliver early careers initiatives. -Able to proactively engage others in new ways of working. -Must be able to work on own initiative, as well as possessing good organisational skills. -Enjoys working as part of a team. -Excellent attention to detail. -Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent. -inclusive approach to build talent from its roots upwards.
