Job Description
Looking for a job with a social purpose?
I am exclusively working with Housing Association based in Lincolnshire to recruit a Data Quality & Governance Analyst. This is a crucial role in shaping the future of data at one of the region’s most ambitious and community-focused housing organisations.
This isn’t a traditional data analyst role. You won’t be building dashboards, crunching KPIs, or pulling Power BI reports. Instead, you’ll be the human bridge between the data, the people using it, and the business outcomes it supports. You’ll bring governance to life, tell compelling stories with data, and help shape a culture where quality, insight and trust sit at the heart of every decision.
They have recognised data as one of its four major strategic pillars, and this role is at the centre of that journey.
You’ll work across the business to improve how it captures, understands, and uses its data with a key focus on repairs, assets, and customer records.
You’ll work closely with process mappers, business users and senior stakeholders to:
* Investigate data mismatches, inconsistencies and breakdowns, and identify their root causes
* Support process mapping across core service areas
* Collaborate with colleagues to define, document and embed data standards and rules
* Use the new data quality & governance tool to manage and assess data integrity
* Build trust and capability across teams through localised training and coaching
* Present issues and insights back to change boards and project sponsors in an engaging, non-technical way
* Help teams understand why data matters and how they can use it better
* Guide and influence business-wide change around how data is captured and used
This is a role for someone who enjoys networking across the business, empowering colleagues, and helping others make smarter decisions, not from dashboards or charts, but by getting under the skin of how things work.
What makes this special:
* You’ll help shape the future of data governance, warehousing, and potentially AI/ML adoption
* You’ll work with a supportive and open-minded team.
* You’ll influence decisions that directly impact tenants, compliance, and service delivery
* You’ll join a business with a clear data strategy and commitment to investment in tools and people
* There’s real growth potential, the team is open to you shaping the role, expanding your influence and developing your own leadership
Ideally, you’ll have:
* Strong working knowledge of SQL (you don’t need to be an expert – but you should understand the basics)
* A clear understanding of data quality, data governance and what “good” looks like
* Experience working with data across operations like housing, public services or local government
* The ability to tell a story with data – bringing colleagues along with you rather than policing them
* Confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels – from frontline teams to project boards
* A passion for solving real problems – and making the complex simple
Above all, we’re looking for a personable, energetic, and curious communicator, someone who enjoys working with people, not just data.
What’s on offer
* Salary: £42,500 per annum
* Hybrid working – 1/2 days a week in either of this offices in the North & South of Lincolnshire.
* Generous wellbeing package – including Westfield Health cover and up to £1,200 benefits pot
* 25 days holiday (rising with service) + bank holidays and attendance-based leave
* Defined pension scheme with up to 12% employer contribution
* Enhanced family leave, cycle-to-work, agile working, and shopping discounts
* On-site Mental Health First Aiders and regular wellbeing initiatives
* Learning & Development opportunities to grow your skills – especially in data leadership
