You will have a BA in Childhood Practice.
Responsibilities
You will manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day running of the Early Years Centre on behalf of the Head Teacher.
The Individual
You will have proven experience in a range of early years establishments, working with parents/carers, implementing suitable programmes of learning experiences for children, cross-agency/sector working, and leading a team.
You will also have excellent organisational and management skills.
You will be able to undertake variable shift patterns, use your own initiative, and have good communication, interpersonal, ICT, and administrative skills. You should be able to work under pressure and develop positive professional relationships.
You will be enthusiastic, committed, approachable, reliable, flexible, adaptable, and have an understanding of confidentiality. Evidence of continuous professional development is also required.
You must be able to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified timescale.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment by Dundee City Council.
