Overview
Live It Little Ones is an exciting nursery in Stockton dedicated to giving children the best start in life through healthy living, active play, and natural learning. Following our takeover of Rosedene Nursery, we are relaunching the setting with a fresh focus on health, nutrition, and wellbeing.
We are now seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Manager to shape the nursery's new vision, embed our values, and ensure it becomes a trusted and valued part of the community. The successful candidate will have a proven background in early childhood education and childcare, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage all aspects of running a high-quality early years setting.
The Role
This role goes beyond day-to-day operations – you will be central to:
* Leading the relaunch of the nursery and embedding our health- and wellbeing-focused ethos.
* Ensuring the nursery environment is safe, inspiring, and stimulating, where children can flourish.
* Driving quality, compliance, staff development, and parental engagement.
* Establishing Live It Little Ones as a leader in health-focused early years education.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of running a high-quality early years setting.
* Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, health & safety, and EYFS standards.
* Recruit, lead, and develop a motivated team of early years professionals.
* Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the local community.
* Monitor and improve quality through reflective practice, training, and development.
* Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively to ensure sustainability and growth.
* Champion our commitment to healthy eating, outdoor learning, and active play.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong leadership, childcare expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit. You will be:
* Qualified to Level 3 in Childcare (minimum), ideally holding a Level 5/6 or relevant degree in Early Childhood Education.
* Experienced – at least 2+ years in a senior early years leadership/management role.
* Knowledgeable in EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
* A natural leader – with proven ability to motivate, inspire, and build high-performing teams.
* Business-minded – confident in budgeting, occupancy building, and ensuring financial sustainability.
* Passionate about children's health, nutrition, and wellbeing.
