Accounts Assistant (Part-Time) Location: Gateshead Hours: Part-time, 2–3 days per week Contract: Permanent Overview An established organisation is seeking a reliable and experienced Accounts Assistant to join its Head Office finance team based in Gateshead. This hands-on position supports the day-to-day running of the finance function within a friendly and supportive working environment. Key Responsibilities Maintaining accurate bookkeeping and financial records Completing bank reconciliations and posting journals Processing payroll using Sage 50 Payroll Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger tasks Supporting general accounting activities as required Requirements Experience using Sage 50 Accounts Experience using Sage 50 Payroll Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Excellent organisation skills and a high level of accuracy Formal accounting qualifications are not required Desirable Experience Knowledge of stock control or EPOS systems Experience within a retail or multi-site environment Benefits Casual dress Company pension Employee discounts On-site parking
