Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

Overview
An established organisation is seeking a reliable and experienced Accounts Assistant to join its Head Office finance team based in Gateshead. This hands-on position supports the day-to-day running of the finance function within a friendly and supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining accurate bookkeeping and financial records
* Completing bank reconciliations and posting journals
* Processing payroll using Sage 50 Payroll
* Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger tasks
* Supporting general accounting activities as required
Requirements
* Experience using Sage 50 Accounts
* Experience using Sage 50 Payroll
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Excellent organisation skills and a high level of accuracy
* Formal accounting qualifications are not required
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of stock control or EPOS systems
* Experience within a retail or multi-site environment
