FP&A Analyst – 12 Month FTC
Reporting to the Senior FP&A Analyst, the FP&A Analyst will be a key member of the FP&A team, assisting in providing oversight and guidance for the overall performance of the group.
The FP&A function has grown over the last 2 years to lead the annual budgeting process, mid-year forecasting cycles, financial modelling of longer-term strategic plans and plays a key role in assisting treasury and transactional finance with cashflow reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and maintain Power BI dashboards, highlighting key financial information for use by a range of stakeholders
* Build new and maintain existing dataflows within Microsoft Fabric and transform raw data into a usable form across the department
* Support with all elements of budgeting and forecasting across the business units
* Assist in production of rolling 12-month forecast, cash receipt and subcontractor payment forecast templates
* Analyse, manipulate and model large quantities of complex financial information that can be easily presented to a range of stakeholders
* Play a supporting role with efficiency projects
* Mentor a team member in building Power BI data transformation and visualisation skills
Experience and Qualifications
* Power BI Dashboards - experience of designing, creating and maintaining BI dashboards to effectively display financial information with the needs of the end user at the centre of the design.
* SQL/Python - confident in using SQL and/or Python to design new and maintain existing dataflows within Microsoft Fabric.
* Dataflows - experience managing dataflows in an efficient way, following best practice guidelines to maximise computing efficiency.
* Analytical Skills - ability to analyse large quantities of data to identify trends, variance analysis and provide context to headline numbers.
* Finance Skills - prior knowledge of finance fundamentals (P&L, balance sheet, debtors, creditors, accruals etc).
* Power BI Mentorship - mentor a junior member of the team to become more proficient in building complex dashboards within Power BI.
* Excel Skills - advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to power query, advanced formulas and some experience in designing macros.
