We’re working with a well-established machine tool business looking to recruit an entry-level Applications Engineer. This is a rare opportunity to move off the shop floor and into a customer-facing role, with full training provided on the applications side of the job.
The Role:
Support customers across the UK with the installation, programming, and optimisation of multi-axis CNC lathes and mills
Carry out both online and offline programming, including the use of CAD/CAM software
Deliver on-site support, demonstrations, and training
Work with a wide range of industries including aerospace, automotive, medical, and general subcontracting
Develop technical solutions that help customers improve their machining processes
The Candidate:
Time-served or apprentice-trained CNC machinist
Competent in both online and offline programming of CNC lathes and/or mills
Comfortable using CAD/CAM software to create and modify programs
Willing to travel UK-wide (occasional nights away)
Full UK driving licence (no more than 3 points)
Professional, reliable, and keen to develop new skills
What’s on Offer:
£35,000–£45,000 basic salary
