Senior Rapid Access Services Nurse or Paramedic
Camden Rapid Access Services is an Adult physical health service, currently seeking to employ a Band 7 Registered Nurse or Paramedic with experience in Acute care (e.g. A&E, Paramedic, ITU, CCU, HDU). Potential post holders must possess current, valid NMC (UK) or HCPC (UK) registration.
UCR nurses/paramedics assess, manage and treat patients in their own homes or care settings, aiming to review patients within two hours of referral and to prevent hospital admission.
Responsibilities include:
* Provide high‑quality care to patients in the community who are experiencing an acute deterioration.
* Under a Nursing/Paramedic‑led caseload model, deliver treatment and rehabilitation in the home or care setting.
* Support the Virtual Ward and D2A pathways, including remote monitoring and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, specialist services and the wider integrated care system.
* Act as Nurse/Paramedic in Charge when required and provide senior clinical advice.
Shift patterns are highly flexible, including 08:00–21:00, 09:00–22:00, 09:00–19:00 and 12:00–22:00. The successful candidate will be expected to work two out of four weekends per month and may request up to 4 shifts or specific days off per roster.

Key skills:
* Completion of Physical Assessment (essential).
* Venepuncture, cannulation and medication administration (PO, PR, IV, IM, SC).
* Triage, autonomous practice and confidence in clinical knowledge.
* Awareness of the Mental Capacity Act and Mental Capacity Assessment.
* Teaching and mentoring skills.
* Non‑Medical Prescriber (desirable).
Additional requirements:
* Full UK driving licence (providing transport where required; bus/tube passes available for those without a licence).
* Experience working in a community setting and making clinical decisions.
