Mobile Court & Tribunal Security Officer

About the role
From 6:30 to 19:00 (shifts may be 8, 9, or 10:45 hours). You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, covering different courts within a defined area around the home-base of this location. There is no weekend or night work, but overtime may be available on Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank holidays. Weekends are paid at 1.5x for Saturdays and 2x for Sundays, with 1.5x overtime on weekdays outside normal court times.
The role is mobile, covering a geographic area defined by a radius from your base location. You must be able to travel to different sites within your patch as demand requires. Travel expenses and parking are reimbursed and processed three times per month.

Key responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users
* Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV and x-ray, conduct security checks (hand-held metal detectors, bag searches)
* Patrol and secure access to buildings, maintain contact with the control room via hand-held radios
* Respond to panic alarms in Judges’ rooms, courts and offices
* Respond to security incidents and document/report details
The ideal candidate
* Right to Work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance (to be completed for successful candidate)
* SIA Licence and relevant security experience
* UK driving licence may be required (location dependent)
* Strong people and customer service skills
* Good diligence and high standard of work
* Effective communication skills
