Employment Advisor
Salary: £31,930 per annum
Location: Barnet
Are you passionate about making a difference and creating positive social impact? As a Restart Advisor, you will play a transformational role in coaching and empowering individuals. You will help participants unlock their potential and guide them toward sustainable employment, from career coaching to personal development, addressing complex and varied challenges.
What you'll be doing:
* Collaborate with participants through diagnostic assessments to identify barriers and create action plans that shift mindsets and outline steps to secure meaningful employment.
* Meet and exceed performance targets by continuously improving strategies and seeking input to achieve the best outcomes for participants and the community.
* Understand and signpost participants to internal and external services addressing needs such as debt management, mental health, and career coaching.
* Help participants craft professional CVs, tailored supporting statements, and cover letters to aid in job searches.
* Prepare participants for interviews through mock sessions and assessment activities, building their confidence.
* Maintain accurate electronic records reflecting the support provided, from coaching to employment placement, within required standards and timescales.
Requirements:
* Experience in fast-paced environments
* Ability to motivate, inspire, and challenge participants to reach their potential
* Proven success in exceeding performance targets and engaging participants in personal growth and mindset change
* Exceptional communication skills to influence and address diverse needs, including liaising with employers and stakeholders
* Creative and flexible problem-solving skills
* High digital literacy
* Excellent organisational skills to manage a varied caseload and support multiple priorities
