Residential Support Worker - full time and part time, permanent
Salary: £26,403 - £28,403 Band 4 plus there is an enhancement paid between 8pm and 6am and weekends, this starts at £2,709 - £2,914 per year depending on spinal point (figures based on 37 hour contract)

Who we are: NCC operates 5 children's homes including a national secure children centre with education. Our homes accommodate 25 young people aged 6 - 17. Our main aim is to offer an exceptional family focussed caring environment where children and young people can feel safe and thrive to meet their full potential. The service is inspected by Ofsted on a yearly basis and Thorndale House is currently rated as Good. We are seeking committed staff who share these aspirations.
Role
Residential Support Worker at Thorndale House supports four young people (aged 6–17) living at the home. The role involves helping young people address their emotional, social, and educational needs through positive and constructive interventions. Your personal qualities and life experience will help create an environment of reflection, challenge, personal attention and specialist help to develop values, skills, self-control and direction.
This role requires you to work to a shift pattern which includes early and late shifts with an occasional sleepover duty. An enhancement is paid between 8pm and 6am and weekends, starting at £2,491 - £2,664 per year (based on 37-hour contract).
Qualifications & requirements
* You must have a good general education and be willing and able to undertake relevant training.
* You will be supported to complete the Level 4 Diploma in Children, Young People and Family Practitioners, which is a requirement of the job role.
* Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure is required.
* Applicants must be 22 years of age or over due to Ofsted guidance.
* If sponsorship is required to work in the UK, this position does not meet the Home Office criteria for UK Visa Sponsorship.
