We are looking for a motivated, empathetic, resilient individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with individuals with eating disorders to join our team covering Suffolk, based in Ipswich. This opportunity comes at a time of excitement as we are involved in the evolution of a pilot scheme involving the Virtually Intensive Treatment team and Intensive community support.
The post holder will assess, clinically manage, coordinate care, and treat adults with eating disorders. You will work alongside healthcare professionals including RMNs, RGN, GPs, dieticians, and consultant psychiatrists to support service users within their recovery. Responsibilities include providing planned nursing care, risk assessment/screening within care plans, ongoing evaluation of patient needs, and identifying suitability for discharge through caseload management and supervision.
You will initiate and attend patient-centered reviews, case conferences, and other meetings, working within a multidisciplinary team to develop working partnerships. You will have ongoing responsibility for reviewing patient care within the team, prioritizing tasks, and sharing information effectively. It is essential to understand and work within the requirements of the Mental Health Act (1983), organize your workday efficiently, and make the best use of time, geographical distances, and resources.
Promoting best clinical practices and actively involving patients and carers in developing their care plans are key responsibilities. You will participate in training and education and ensure compliance with all trust policies, guidelines, and protocols, especially regarding community services.
