Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician (4 POSITIONS)
The opportunity has arisen for new Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians (PRPT) to join our pharmacy team based at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading, with working hours Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
Qualifications: You MUST have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade A-C/9-4, including Mathematics, English, and Science. Previous pharmacy experience is desirable.
Skills and Attributes: Self-motivated, organized, efficient, able to meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Rotational work across dispensary, pharmacy stores, medicines information, medicines safety, wards, and accuracy checking as per the two-year timetable.
Training and Development: You will undertake the Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician qualification starting February 2026, completing the Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice over 24 months. Rotations will include all department areas, mental health wards, and community health wards. Participation in late duty rota (10am-6pm), departmental training, and regular 1:1 meetings with line managers and tutors are expected.
