Responsibilities
* Take a lead role in delivering and developing Environmental Health services across statutory nuisance, private sector housing, and animal welfare.
* Work with dedicated officers and established procedures to maximise resources within the team.
* Promote and showcase our work locally and nationally, including activities addressing anti-social behaviour, raising energy standards in rented homes, and tackling empty properties.
* Support service delivery, develop staff, and contribute to a high-performing team and culture.
Our Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Qualified and experienced Environmental Health Practitioner with extensive knowledge of housing and/or environmental protection.
* Ability to manage teams and handle complex cases, with a practical, hands-on approach.
* Appreciation of the range of environmental health and licensing functions.

* A four-day working week (32 hours) to improve recruitment, retention, and wellbeing, with an expectation to attend the office 1 day per week.
