Priority Drilling are a mineral exploration drilling contractor established in 1967 that specialises in surface and underground deep hole wireline coring and reverse circulation percussion for mineral exploration for base metals and minerals. Our drilling techniques involve drilling holes up to 2000 m in N size including steered deviation drilling and wedge setting. The company utilises the latest techniques including the use of drill additives, cleaning and recirculation to aid the drilling process and maintain the cleanest working environment.
We are seeking skilled and experienced Drilling Equipment Maintenance Engineers for underground and surface operations in the UK. The candidate should be located in the North Yorkshire area but be prepared to travel to other sites in Cornwall, Scotland and North Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and scheduled maintenance pf drill rigs and associated plant such as pumps, generators, shale shakers, compressors, lighting systems and drill tools.
* Diagnose mechanical, electric and hydraulic faults on drill rigs and associated equipment.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and maximise availability of all equipment.
Qualification and Experience
* Proven experience as a plant fitter working onsite.
* Demonstrable experience and qualifications to support knowledge in hydraulics and component maintenance.
* Demonstrable experience and qualifications with electrical systems (can bus and electro hydraulic)
* Demonstrable ability to carry out welding repairs with supporting qualifications.
* Demonstrable awareness of health and safety requirements including risk assessments.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
