Job Overview:
We are looking for Restaurant Seasonal Assistants to join our team starting mid November 2025. The role involves ensuring that our customers enjoy a warm, welcoming, and efficient service while visiting our restaurant. Weekend availability is essential to meet the demand of our busiest days, particularly in the lead-up to Christmas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service, greeting and assisting guests in the restaurant with a positive attitude.
* Take orders and prepare and serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
* Preparing hot drinks, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in serving areas.
* Keep tables and dining areas clean and tidy, ensuring a pleasant environment for all customers.
* Process transactions accurately at the point of sale and manage cash/card payments.
* Follow all health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the restaurant.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, particularly weekends and holidays.
Key Skills and Requirements:
* Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
* Experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential—training will be provided.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak holiday periods.
* A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help in all areas of the restaurant.
* Physically able to be on your feet for long periods and lift light to moderate items when necessary.
* Flexibility to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays, and adjust to varying shifts as needed.
