We are leading global hedge fund and offer a 12month internship in a small macro economics research/strategy team based in central London. Our internship would probably best suit someone who has a Master’s degree (most likely in the field of economics). It may be that someone who already has some work experience in macro economics research/strategy and who is looking for buy side experience could find it interesting. Most important of all is that we want to find someone who has a restless curiosity about macro economics and someone who can tell a story and have a point of view. At the core of this role you will provide analytical and charting support to a senior strategist as well as assist with various research projects covering many different economies and areas of economic/financial market interest. The ideal candidate must have an excellent understanding of macro economics and economic issues generally. You’ll also have strong analytical skills to really get behind the data and uncover insights. Additional requirements/preferences for the ideal candidate: A hardworking and self-starting attitude General curiosity about global markets and finance Strong interest / passion for macro economics Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail Ability to get behind the data and understand the story / themes it reveals Very strong excel skills Coding skills (i.e. Python) will be advantageous Familiarity with Eviews / Bloomberg / Haver would be very useful Strong communication skills and a genuine curiosity to dig into new projects *Please note this is a 12month Fixed Term Contract commencing Aug / Sept / Oct 2026*
