Responsibilities
As a Band 3 Health Care Assistant within our Bladder and Bowel Service, you will play a key role in supporting patients to improve their independence and overall quality of life in a community setting. Working closely with our specialist nurses, you’ll provide practical support, education, and reassurance, helping patients and carers feel confident in managing their care. Maintain high standards of patient‑centred care while supporting individuals with continence needs in a community setting. Undertake clinical tasks such as bladder scanning, sheath fitting, and contributing to product reviews, while monitoring outcomes and promoting independence. May be asked to run annual review clinics for patients in receipt of products and complete unscheduled visits, including urgent bladder scans, in response to clinical need. Work both autonomously and as part of a specialist team, using strong communication, organisational skills, and compassion to deliver safe, effective care and enhance patient wellbeing.
This is a rewarding role where you’ll build meaningful relationships with patients and contribute to delivering high-quality, person‑centred care. It would suit someone who is compassionate, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team, with a genuine interest in making a difference to peoples day‑to‑day lives.
Flexible working will be considered for all roles.
