About the PURE Practice: The Power, Utilities, Renewable and Energy (PURE) Practice is a specialist team within WTW, dedicated to delivering tailored risk and insurance solutions to large clients across the energy sector. Our client portfolio includes UK water utilities, renewable energy providers, waste-to-energy operators, and investment portfolios. We combine deep industry expertise with innovative approaches to help clients manage risk and unlock value.
The Role:
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
* Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses and risk management needs.
* Deliver tailored insurance and risk solutions through proactive and ongoing service.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Business Development
* Drive the sales process to win, retain, and grow profitable client relationships.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the sector.
* Collaborate with colleagues across WTW to leverage cross-practice capabilities.
Placement Management
* Work closely with market contacts and the Broking Team to ensure optimal placement strategies.
* Maintain strong working relationships with insurers and external specialists.
Operational Excellence
* Lead the delivery of end-to-end client service, ensuring adherence to WTW’s policies, procedures, and service standards.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and revenue tracking for the business unit.
* Provide feedback and implement corrective actions to improve client retention and service delivery.
Qualifications
The Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of insurance markets and risk solutions relevant to the Power, Utilities and Renewables sector.
* Proven track record in client service and account management.
* Demonstrated success in business development and converting prospects into clients.
* Excellent relationship-building skills across all levels, both internally and externally.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing capabilities.
* Experience working within structured processes and systems to support client service.
* Professional qualifications such as Dip CII (or working towards) are preferred.
