We are recruiting for a motivated Senior Compliance Specialist to join our team at Denver Health.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Compliance Manager, the Senior Compliance Specialist supports compliance program activities including policy development, training, hotline reports, investigations, conflicts of interest, and sanction screenings. The role involves research on federal and state laws, guidance provision, training development, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
1. Develop, revise, distribute, and track policies and procedures.
2. Provide strategic guidance on compliance-related programs and initiatives.
3. Maintain logs of inquiries and compliance activities; respond to routine questions.
4. Assist in developing forms, notices, and related materials.
5. Identify potential issues, support risk assessments, and monitor compliance risks.
6. Lead monitoring activities for legal and internal policy compliance.
7. Assess training needs and develop compliance training programs.
8. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
9. Support external audits and special projects.
10. Process hotline reports and conduct investigations.
11. Coordinate with investigations units on fraud, waste, and abuse issues.
12. Respond to compliance questions and inquiries.
13. Evaluate sanction screening results and compliance of related entities.
14. Monitor dashboards and identify potential risks.
15. Participate in daily compliance program activities and build strong relationships.
16. Support corrective action plans and other departmental tasks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required; 4-6 years of healthcare compliance or legal experience, preferably in hospital, provider, or health plan settings.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong business acumen, knowledge of healthcare laws, excellent organizational and analytical skills, ability to handle multiple projects, strong communication skills, and high ethical standards.
Work Details:
Shift: Regular
Salary: $63,800 - $98,900 per year
