About Our Client
A fast-growing, technology-led business in the sustainable mobility sector is seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead its end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations.This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building scalable processes, and is passionate about delivering excellent product availability across aftersales, distributor networks, and global markets.You will be accountable for supplier performance, spares availability, inventory optimisation, logistics, and global trade compliance, while leading and developing a growing supply chain team.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities for the Head of supply chain will be;Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
3. Define, implement, and document supply chain strategies, processes, and operating standards
4. Lead and develop the S&OP cycle to ensure accurate demand planning for finished goods and spare parts
Supplier & Partner Management
5. Build and manage strong relationships with global suppliers and distribution partners
6. Drive supplier performance through SLAs, KPIs, RFQs, and structured cost negotiations
7. Ensure quality, availability, and cost objectives are consistently achieved
Aftersales & Spares Supply
8. Own the end-to-end spares supply chain supporting aftersales teams, service centres, and distributor networks
9. Define stocking strategies, reorder policies, and demand planning models for spares and consumables
10. Improve fulfilment speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency
Inventory, Production & Logistics
11. Lead inventory strategy across warehouses, workshops, and service locations
12. Optimise stock levels to balance availability, working capital, and risk
13. Coordinate production planning with manufacturing partners in Asia
14. Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, global dropship operations, and 3PL performance
Trade Compliance & Risk Management
15. Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, customs requirements, and duty-management regimes
16. Identify supply chain risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
17. Own and manage the supply chain budget and cost-reduction initiatives
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
18. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team
19. Track KPIs and SLAs, reporting insights and driving corrective actions
20. Partner with engineering and operations teams to strengthen change control and operational excellence
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Supply Chain should have:
21. Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes within the retail industry.
22. Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
23. Experience in inventory management and demand planning.
24. Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
25. The capability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
26. A results-driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
What's on Offer
The successful Head of Supply chain will receive;
27. Salary between £55,000 and £65,000.
28. Generous holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays.
