Adecco is pleased to be recruiting for a Trainer to join Dorset Police. You will be based at their HQ in Winfrith.
This is an office-based role, working office hours, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £17.24 per hour.
While based at Winfrith, flexibility to travel to their premises in Ferndown may be required. Please note, this post is temporary until March 2026.
The purpose of the role
* Design and deliver training and development interventions to ensure police officers, staff, and other members of the force meet operational requirements and priorities.
* Focus on delivering initial and force training programmes across defined geographic areas, as well as targeted training for specific groups. Posts are based across Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and prepare annual training schedules; design, develop, and deliver various training packages, including initial and force training.
* All training posts are generic, with occasional requirements to deliver training in other areas as needed.
* Design and deliver training through written materials, classroom sessions, and learning exercises, utilizing all available technology and adopting innovative methods where appropriate.
* Identify individual and organizational training needs through training needs analysis; liaise with management to assess skills and abilities against relevant standards.
Note: Due to police criteria, applicants must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years continuously. Less than this will not be considered.
