About the job:
In the role of SICS technical expert, you will be part of a team supporting our reinsurance clients globally with their core system needs – with a focus working with DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance. As technical expert, your focus will be on leading configuration, interfaces and infrastructure topics in addition to helping to train and coach other technical team members around you. The role will involve both supporting new implementation project as well as continuing to support our current clients with enhancements and other BAU processes.
1. Supporting on the implementation, ongoing maintenance support and enhancement of core reinsurance platforms for reinsurance clients (with a focus on DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance) including data migrations, bug triage and resolution, BA activities, configuration enhancements, developing custom built reports, and running system administration activities.
2. Working with clients to understand their business, processes and core reinsurance system requirements.
3. Leading the configuration and enhancement of client DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance installations.
4. Training and coaching of junior team members with a focus on technical topics.
5. Advising clients around best practice usage of DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance, including business capabilities and integration into their wider system landscape.
6. Analysis of client SICS data and database and developing reporting/scripts for clients using SQL.
7. Advising clients on the optimisation of their core system infrastructure and performance.
8. Supporting clients around their integration needs with core reinsurance platforms
About you:
9. You bring a minimum of 4-5 years' experience working in Reinsurance / Insurtech or consultancy firm with exposure to Reinsurance clients.
10. You are educated to bachelor's degree level, it is a bonus if you are holding an advanced degree (MA, MSc or MBA) and/or additional qualifications.
11. You are highly knowledgeable around the core modules of DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance in addition to hands on experience working with the system administration/configuration of SICS.
12. Excellent SQL Skills and an in-depth understanding of the SICS data model and database.
13. Highly structured, self-organised and detail oriented professional.
Good to have:
14. Experience working with MultiGAAP module of DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance.
15. Experience working with API based integrations including DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance SOAP/REST APIs.
16. Experience developing reports using SAP business objects for DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance.
17. Experience of data migration into DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance using the MTK utility (or other methods).
