An opportunity for a Bid Writer to join our busy headquarters near Bicester. We are looking for a curious and confident self-starter with the potential to become a key player in our busiest work-winning team. We are looking for a creative Bid Writer wanting to take the next step on their career journey. We offer a competitive salary, hybrid working with the benefit of onsite parking, and company pension.


As a Bid Writer you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality bids and tender submissions. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will work closely with the Bid Team and wider business. You will play a key role in helping to secure new contracts and retain existing clients by ensuring responses are clear, compelling and consistently aligned with the Company’s brand and service offering.


Key Responsibilities

* Ability to undertake essential research, write and edit of tender submissions, marketing materials, presentations and other collateral, developing compliant and compelling proposal content that aligns with our brand and values to PQQs, ITTs, RFPs, RFQs.
* Coordinating input and liaising with contributors to ensure timely submissions
* Proofreading of documents and ensuring consistent messaging, completeness and compliance
* Contributing to and maintaining a content library – generating new content where appropriate and regularly refreshing existing material to ensure currency
* Maintaining effective document management and version control for bid and bid related documentation
* Completing work to a high standard and quality
* Working with the Head of Business Development to review feedback and drive continuous improvement of bid submissions and other collateral
* Developing & maintaining internal relationships with key operational staff and management to improve the operational success stories and technical content
* Keep up to date with industry trends, legislation and best practice to enhance bid quality and effectiveness

Person Specification

* Excellent written English, with the ability to write clear, concise and compelling text
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret ITT questions and structure a logical response
* Exceptional attention to detail and proof-reading skills
* Sound understanding of bid and proposal best practice, ideally with APMP accreditation or training
* Demonstrated tendering experience, with a record of success in delivering winning bids
* Ability to build professional and amenable relationships with colleagues from diverse business disciplines at all levels
* Ability to work effectively both independently & as a team member
* Flexible and organised - ability to work under pressure, plan workload, and work within flexible hours to meet strict deadlines
* A forward-thinking, collaborative, and flexible approach with a great work ethic
* Knowledge of public sector procurement processes would be highly valuable
* Commercially aware
* A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality
* Highly competent in using MS Office packages

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Pay: £37,000.00-£42,000.00 per year

* Bicester OX25 3SX: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
