Location: Banbury / Travelling
For the past 10 years, Live Wire has worked across Formula 1, supplying technology to major teams and F1 Management. Our work includes constructing viewer experiences in teams' hospitality suites, paddock, garages, and factories, elevating each of the 24 races a year. We collaborate with suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and integrate innovation into all our projects.
Live Wire provides AV technology for various events including Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre, and Dance. We work with venues like Southbank Centre, Barbican, Sadlers Wells in London, providing technicians, support, and equipment.
We are seeking AV technicians to join our traveling team, working closely with clients such as Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin, McLaren, F1 Management, and F1 Academy. Our technicians use cutting-edge equipment to manage multiple event aspects, from driver interviews to hospitality entertainment and live race commentary, including pit links. Working under pressure, technicians must deliver above client expectations, continuously seeking improvements in equipment, events, and teamwork.
Responsibilities include meticulous care and management of equipment, proactive packing procedures for safe shipping, ongoing maintenance, and prompt repairs or damage management.
Technicians are responsible for writing detailed race reports, providing insights into build, scheduling, equipment use, and sustainability tracking post-event. Timely report delivery and distribution are essential.
We aim for our AV technicians to mentor junior team members, uphold high work standards, and collaborate effectively with operations, production, project, and finance teams to ensure seamless race delivery and continuous improvement.
We require full-time commitment from our AV Technicians.
Responsibilities:
* Operate high-profile shows alongside world-class drivers and musicians.
* Create comprehensive production schedules and kit lists for clients and crew.
* Write debriefs for management and clients after each race, highlighting action points and improvement ideas.
* Maintain equipment, report damages, and take corrective actions.
* Self-manage and motivate while working independently.
* Build and maintain positive client relationships.
* Communicate effectively with the team on track and in the UK.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in event management of varying demands.
* Specialization in lighting, sound, or AV, with confidence to oversee all project aspects.
