As the Credit Controller, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day credit control cycle. This is a role where your proactive approach and eye for detail will be crucial in safeguarding financial health, building strong relationships with customers, and ensuring cashflow remains consistent and reliable. Key Responsibilities include: Proactively monitoring customer credit requirements and managing company credit risk. Ensuring customers pay within agreed credit terms, actively chasing debtors via phone, email, and letter. Processing all sales ledger transactions, including receipts, invoices, credit notes, and reconciliations. Distributing accurate and timely customer statements and other credit control documentation. Investigating and resolving invoice queries, liaising closely with customers to maintain strong working relationships. Maintaining credit insurance systems and liaising with insurers to meet reporting deadlines. Using control mechanisms such as stop lists, credit reports, and order release systems to minimise unnecessary exposure. Processing and reviewing new customer applications, including credit checks and limit reviews. Handling legal matters relating to credit control where required. Supporting the wider finance team with cover during busy periods. This role is based at my client’s Norwich head office and will suit a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines.
