Summary
We are seeking a talented Engineer with hands‑on mechanical engineering experience who is looking to progress into a project engineering/project management role.
You will join a busy department, based at the Hartlepool facility, responsible for the testing and development of pipeline pigs, manufactured by the company, for major oil, gas and utility clients worldwide.
Working both independently and collaboratively within the team, the successful candidate will play a key part in the daily engineering activities undertaken by the testing department.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction across the business and close liaison with clients, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.

The UK site, based in Hartlepool, includes four manufacturing units and a dedicated indoor testing facility, while, based near Halifax, Nova Scotia, serves as the company’s development centre for advanced pig tracking and communications technologies.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and engineering input relating to the manufacture of test fixtures to support product evaluation and development.
* Preparation of test documentation, including test procedures and test reports.
* Management of documentation, for client review, through company and client document control systems.
* Coordination with client and internal teams to plan and schedule testing activities.
* Participating directly in hands‑on testing operations whilst liaising with onsite clients/inspectors.

Qualifications & Experience
* Higher‑level mechanical engineering qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience are essential.
* A minimum of five years industry experience, post‑training/qualification, is required.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project is preferred.
* Competence in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software is preferred
