Registered Nurse - nights 48 hours
Responsibilities
* Provide the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support to our customers as outlined in Person Centred Plans.
* Order and administer medication, ensure safe storage and record all information in accordance with internal procedures and NMC guidelines.
* Effectively lead a team of support staff and ensure the smooth and efficient management of the shift.
* Prioritise and plan, delegating relevant activities for the support team to meet the needs of our customers within a safe and caring environment.
* Support ongoing assessments, observe changes in health and well-being, and maintain timely records.
* Support customers with physical care, personal hygiene needs and daily tasks.
* Contribute to the ongoing development as a member of the Leonard Cheshire team, promoting independence and fulfilment for people with a disability.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
* A thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a qualified nurse (level 5).
* An understanding of the NMC code of conduct and relevant practice standards and guidance.
* Effective nursing practice in all basic registered nurse procedures.
* Flexibility to work rostered hours and on-call rota as required.
