Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of project design and delivery, from tender development to project planning and coordination. You will assist in the creation of mechanical designs and specifications, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards. You will collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to review and approve project designs. Additionally, you will contribute to troubleshooting and ensure the proper implementation of project controls, documentation, and procedures. Regular site visits will be required to scope, verify, and resolve issues on both potential and active projects, helping ensure smooth execution and timely resolution of challenges.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent
* Chartered Engineer status and membership of professional institutions such as IET, InstMC, or CIWEM is preferable
* Significant experience in the technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry projects is ideal
* Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in computer literacy; CAD experience is preferable
* Field/practical experience
* Good knowledge and application of CDM and health and safety regulations
* Positive attitude with a flexible approach to work
* Professional presentation
* Driving license and CSCS card are preferable
