Dains Group are expanding their busy and successful Employment Services team and is recruiting an Employment Taxes Consultant in Birmingham.
All members of our exceptional team have contact with clients and develop skills not just in relation to the technicalities around tax but also in how to interact with clients, scope, and price work, produce good oral and written advice, solve client problems, and manage the firm’s risks.

Responsibilities
* Work alongside members of staff in an environment where we offer each other support and guidance
* Have a defined allocation of clients with whom you can build a relationship and act as an adviser with the full support of the manager and/or partner in each case
* Support managers on a wide variety of client projects
* Be involved in the completion of statutory employment tax returns and relevant calculations
* Undertake tax research and use this research to formulate advice for clients
* Create written reports to a high standard
* Be responsible for ensuring clients understand advice and guidance and answer any questions they have
* Attend client and internal meetings and write up meeting notes
* Be supported in your personal training and development plan whether that involves further qualifications, formal training or informal improvement
Skills and Qualifications
* Have a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience within Employment Taxes
* Present strong communication skills, both written and oral
* Strong mathematic skills and present strong analytical and methodical skills
* Present good knowledge of tax laws and regulations
Attributes
* You should be self-motivated and driven with a positive and willing work ethic
* You will need to be able to build strong and effective relationships with clients and hold a professional approach
* You will need to demonstrate resilience and confidence in taking on new challenges
* Ability to prioritise own workload and outcome focused and meet tight deadlines
* You must be confident on Excel and other common software
