Job Summary
As part of the team, the qualified post holder will have developed knowledge, experience, and competency in specialised anatomical pathology techniques. The primary responsibilities include carrying out routine and advanced post-mortem procedures, including preparation of the deceased for viewing, autopsy, and police identification. The post holder will provide specialist advice within and outside the Trust, respecting the sensitive nature of the work. Trainees will be trained to work towards this job description.
Main duties of the job
Perform routine and advanced post-mortem procedures, prepare the deceased for viewing, autopsy, and police identification. Offer specialist advice to service users within and outside the Trust. Trainees will receive training to meet these responsibilities.

Person Specification
Qualifications: 3 GCSEs or equivalent
Experience: Healthcare setting or funeral service experience
Skills: Good communication, basic computer skills, manual dexterity, ability to work under pressure, ability to lift/move heavy loads, attention to detail
