HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician: What You'll Be Doing
* Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HGVs, plant, and specialist GSE.
* Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections to keep the fleet safe and operational.
* Performing brake and smoke tests, identifying defects, and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor.
* Maintaining accurate service records and job cards.
* Supporting the wider engineering team with ad-hoc repairs and urgent breakdowns.
* Ensuring safety compliance at all times and reporting defective tools/equipment.
HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician: What We're Looking For
* Level 3 City & Guilds / NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
* At least 3 years' hands-on experience with HGVs, Plant, or GSE.
* GSE experience advantageous but not essential — full training provided.
* Heavy Goods Licence desirable.

* Salary: £39,000 rising to £43,000 after securing BHX & EMA airside passes and joining the call-out rota.
* Call-out rota (£80 per call-out) + overtime opportunities.
