Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Health & Safety Officer / Health & Safety Coordinator to support our expanding operations. The Role Reporting to the Group QHSE Manager, the Health & Safety Officer / Coordinator will help drive a strong safety culture across multiple manufacturing sites. You will support all divisions with compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards. Key Responsibilities * Support continuous improvement of all Health & Safety processes across WEC Group divisions * Ensure employees, contractors, and visitors adhere to safe working practices * Identify, report, and help resolve Health & Safety issues promptly * Contribute to reducing accidents, incidents, and non-conformances across the group * Conduct internal H&S audits and supplier audits * Raise and investigate NCRs and support site teams with corrective actions * Maintain accurate document control and safety records * Issue and implement safety notices when required * Lead supplier approval processes from a H&S perspective * Deliver toolbox talks or support supervisors with their own H&S briefings Essential Skills & Experience * Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety processes and legislation * Passionate about improving workplace safety and promoting best practice * Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) * Full UK driving licence (travel between local sites required) Desirable Skills & Experience Experience in any of the following would be highly beneficial: * Engineering, fabrication, welding, or manufacturing environments * Conducting H&S inspections, audits, and risk assessments * Environmental audits and ISO compliance (ISO 45001:2018 / ISO 14001:2015) * Non-conformance reporting and root cause analysis * Implementing preventive and corrective actions * NEBOSH, IOSH, or other Health & Safety qualifications (or working towards them) Benefits Package * 25 days holiday bank holidays * Genuine career progression within a rapidly expanding engineering group * Training and qualification support (including H&S development) * Annual profit share scheme * Healthcare cash-back plan (dental, optical, physio, mental health support) * Company pension scheme * Low-interest employee support loans * Refer-a-Friend bonus (£250 at 3 months £750 at 12 months) * Death-in-service benefit * Discounted access to a wide variety of attractions and entertainment venues Apply now for immediate consideration and interview
