Job Description
This role offers an introduction to the Assurance & Business Service team at S&W, providing assurance and business services to a diverse client base, including small businesses, start-ups, and non-profits across various industries both in the UK and internationally.
What will you be doing?
You will work directly with client finance teams at different levels, either at client sites or S&W offices, providing assurance, advice, and solutions. The audit process includes Planning, Fieldwork, and Completion phases, lasting from a week to several months depending on the client. You will gain exposure to various businesses and develop skills to become an effective auditor and business adviser. You will also receive professional training while studying for the ACA qualification.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking audit and accountancy tasks as part of a team
* Understanding clients and their business portfolios
* Updating senior stakeholders on project progress
* Familiarizing yourself with audit and accounting software
* Resolving queries related to audits or accounts
* Prioritizing tasks and monitoring time and budgets
To be successful, you should:
* Commit to completing the ACA qualification via a Level 7 apprenticeship
* Have a minimum of 112 UCAS points in your top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies
* Achieve at least Grade 5 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths GCSEs
