Job Title: CNC Turner – Fanuc Controls (Small Components)

Salary: £16.50 – £19.00 per hour depending on experience + shift allowance (TBC)
Working Hours: 38 hours per week
Overtime: 1.5×
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 6:55 am – 4:55 pm, 38 hours per week, shift allowance (if applicable) to be confirmed
About the Role
* Manufacture small precision components to customer specifications
* Work from detailed engineering drawings and offline programming documents
* Play a key role in maintaining production quality, accuracy, and efficiency
* Work within a fast‑paced precision machining environment
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls
* Manufacture small batch and medium batch precision components
* Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
* Set tooling, touch off tools, and set work offsets
* Adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets to maintain tight tolerances
* Change tools/inserts and monitor tool wear
* Download, prove out, and save CNC programs
* Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and thread gauges
* Inspect components to ensure they meet drawing specifications
* Report any quality or production issues to supervisor or inspector
* Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
* Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
* Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
Requirements
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience setting and operating CNC turning machines
* Strong experience with Fanuc controls
* Experience machining small precision components
* Ability to work to tight tolerances
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Experience working to production targets and deadlines
* High attention to detail
* Self‑motivated and reliable
Desirable
* Experience with live tooling and multi-axis lathes
* Experience in a precision engineering or subcontract environment
* Forklift truck training preferred
