Do you have the patience, resilience and positivity to support children who see the world a little differently?
We're looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join an SEN school in Worthing – a role where every day is different and every small breakthrough really matters.
In this role, you'll:
* Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, building strong, trusting relationships.
* Provide behaviour support, helping children regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning.
* Work 1:1 and in small groups, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
* Be a positive role model, bringing patience, empathy and energy into the school day.
We'd love to hear from you if you:
* Have experience (or personal understanding) of SEMH, trauma or behaviour support.
* Stay calm under pressure and use creativity to engage children.
* Bring a caring, consistent and proactive attitude, the kind children can rely on.
* Have an excellent sense of humour and a resilient outlook
Experience in schools is great, but backgrounds in youth work, care, mental health or sports coaching can be just as valuable.
You will require a DBS on the update service to apply for this role, or be willing to undertake a new application.
If you are interested please send your CV and we'll be in touch. We look forward to hearing from you
