Position Summary

Responsible for the management of the Unit One, Wyatt Way and Fison Way facilities in Thetford, Norfolk, UK. Ensuring that the needs of the organisation, employees, and/or visitors are met including the cleanliness, safety and security of all buildings, equipment and grounds.

* Manage overall building and site including maintenance staff and any contractors within facility
* Create and maintain a suitable environment for the purpose and needs of the facility
* Work in conjunction with IT to ensure that strategy is implemented and hardware infrastructure requirements are maintained to the agreed standards
* Use best business practice to manage and reduce operational costs
* Manage budgets for various facility needs and expenses, including capital expenditure projects
* Evaluate costs for various services and goods before choosing the best options for the facility
* Manage the maintenance of the buildings and equipment including repairs or contracting maintenance services as required
* Track building upkeep as well as anticipated long & short-term improvements and maintenance
* Keep the surrounding grounds properly cared for and landscaped
* Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facilities.
* Support and adhere to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems.
* Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
* Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Summary

Ial Duties & Responsibilities

Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilites

Direct line departmental responsibilities for Maintenance support team carrying appropriate leadership / project management of staff. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and reviewing work amongst the team.

Qualifications & Experience

* Experience of managing multi-site facilities
* Strong knowledge of IT hardware and infrastructure management
* Experience in H&S responsibility for an industrialised / manufacturing business
* Good communication and professional presentation skills
* Leadership, man management and conflict resolution skills
* Capable of organising and managing priorities
* Computer literate, with advanced M\S Word, PowerPoint & Excel skills/abilities, M\S Project expertise preferred
* Minimum HNC\HND third level qualifications.

Work Environment

Mainly office/operations environment, some short term travel may be required to other business and supplier locations.
