O’Neill and Brennan are currently recruiting for an experienced MEP Design Manager to join a leading main contractor on a large-scale residential regeneration scheme in West London.
The development will deliver close to 300 new homes across a collection of mid-rise apartment blocks and houses. In addition, the scheme will feature landscaped public spaces, improved pedestrian access, and several acres of green space, designed to provide social value to the community. A Grade II listed building will also be sympathetically converted into high-quality residential units as part of the project.
As MEP Design Manager, you will oversee the coordination and management of all mechanical, electrical, and public health design activities on the project. You will work closely with consultants, subcontractors, and the wider design and construction teams to ensure designs are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the design process across mechanical, electrical, and public health packages
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for compliance and buildability
Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve design queries
Ensuring all design meets statutory regulations, client requirements, and project objectives
Supporting delivery teams with technical guidance throughout the construction phase
The successful MEP Design Manager candidate must have:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an MEP Design Manager (or similar role) within the construction industry
Proven background working on large-scale residential or mixed-use schemes
Experience with complex refurbishment projects in listed buildings is advantageous
Strong design management, coordination, and technical review skills
Relevant qualifications and professional memberships are desirable
