Assistant Head of Year
NJC Scale Point: 18 - 22
Salary: £27,125 to £28,984 per annum
Hours: 37 per week, 39 weeks per annum
Start date: As soon as possible
The role supports the school's strategic objectives by providing leadership and governance for Year 6 and Year 11 student development. This non‑teaching post requires a proactive educator who is passionate about student success.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of tutors.
* Influence and support staff, parents/carers, and stakeholders to raise aspiration and improve outcomes for all students.
* Support the school in achieving the best possible outcomes for all students as individuals, effective citizens, and well‑rounded persons.
* Ensure safeguarding and welfare of pupils are upheld through regular review and practice.
Qualifications
* Good basic education to GCSE level, including English and Maths.
* Relevant courses completed (e.g., coaching, mentoring, study support).
* Previous experience working with young people.
* Ambitious and professional with a proactive interest in education.
* Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong organisational skills.
