On Track Education based at West Yarner and Newton Abbot is a mixed, day special school. The school provides education for up to 40 pupils aged 7-16 who benefit from small group and individualised learning. West Yarner is situated on the outskirts of Dartington and is a base for our primary age children (KS1/KS2). Seale Hayne Business Centre is our school site for our secondary age children All children have individualised timetables with a range of enrichment activities, which are lined to their personalised targets within their EHCPs.
We are looking for a Forest School Lead to cover maternity leave. You will be based at the West Yarner site and the forest school site. You must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
THE JOB:
· To plan, prepare and deliver high quality Forest School lessons, liaising with teaching staff and SLT as required.
· To set clear targets for pupils' learning and progress, building on prior attainment and considering each pupil as an individual
· To have regard and plan to meet the special educational needs of pupils
· To assess pupil work and progress giving regular feedback in line with school policy

THE PERSON:
· A recognised teaching qualification or considerable educational experience
· Forest school experience and a level three forest school qualification
· Experience of working with young people in an SEN environment
· The ability to deliver lessons that are informative, interesting and inspiring
· A dedication to positive behaviour management

Salary £25,410 to £28,060 per annum, this will be pro rata for part-time hours. Company benefits include pension, retailer discounts, online GP, employee wellbeing programme.
Working hours: Four days a week. 845am to 445pm per day.
