About the role
The Role
GAP Pump Services provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for dewatering and sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.
As a Regional Pump Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the region by ensuring that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it through the efficient servicing and maintaining a variety of pump services equipment within the GAP fleet.
As part of our high-performing regional team, you will be responsible for traveling across our customer sites to identify and repair any faults or damage to equipment including pumps, hoses and generators, whilst accurately updating service records. Please note, the position will be based out of our depot in Tilbury and therefore candidates should be suitably located.
Responsibilities
* Travel to customer sites to identify and repair faults or damage to pumps, hoses and generators.
* Service and maintain a variety of pump equipment within the GAP fleet.
* Accurately update service records.
* Support customers to ensure equipment is available when and where they need it.
About You
Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:
* Proven experience as a pump engineer/mechanical fitter or similar role with a relevant qualification or time served.
* Ideally have experience within the plant or hire industry.
* Sound and current knowledge of pumps, hoses and generators is highly desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
* A customer-focussed approach, workload management and a committed team player.
* A valid driving licence is preferred but is not essential.
