Could you be a lifeline for someone navigating loss?
We’re looking for a compassionate and resilient individual to join Swindon & Gloucestershire Mind as a Suicide Bereavement Practitioner. In this unique role, you’ll provide vital support to people, families, and communities affected by suicide—helping them find strength, hope, and connection during the most difficult of times.
You’ll be the steady presence that helps someone take their next step, whether through one-to-one support, group sessions, or practical guidance around inquests, funeral arrangements, or workplace communication.
Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you’ll also connect with coroners, NHS partners, schools, police, and local authorities to ensure those impacted by suicide are never left to manage alone.
We’re seeking someone who:
* Brings empathy, professionalism, and resilience to their work.
* Has experience in health, social care, mental health, or bereavement support.
* Can confidently work with vulnerable groups and complex needs.
* Is passionate about improving mental health support and strengthening community responses to suicide.
In return, we’ll invest in your growth and wellbeing, offering:
* A salary of £27,000 FTE
* Flexible hours and hybrid working options.
* 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
* Specialist training, supervision, and CPD opportunities
* A collaborative, compassionate team culture where your work truly matters
By joining us, you’ll not only support individuals—you’ll help shape a more compassionate community response to suicide across Swindon and Gloucestershire.
