Contract Type: Permanent – 37.5 hours

What you’ll do:

The purpose of this role is to lead the Continuous Improvement team to drive through standardised best practices and a continuous improvement culture across the depot operations ensuring that agreed Bluebook Standard Operating Processes are fully implemented and effectively embedded and ultimately driving increased productivity.

Initial focus of this role will be to lead the continuous improvement on the poorest performing depots to drive sustained increased productivity.

The role will ensure that best practise processes are clearly communicated, and leadership teams are fully engaged in implementation.

Lead development of any new processes across the Depot network and ensure any new processes and initiatives are effectively implemented by depot teams.

The role will require travel and overnight stays to ensure the team is flexible to be in any depot where the requirement sits any a specific time.

Key Role Responsibilities:

* Leading the team to drive a culture of best practices and standardisation of processes within Depot operation to ensure depots can achieve budgeted productivity.

* Using operational experience to support the review of bluebook practices to ensure fit for purpose in today’s operational environment. Ensuring all agreed SOPs are effectively used and embedded into the operation through coaching and removing any blockers.

* Leading Continuous Improvement to drive performance and excellent operational standards through 5S, Blue Book training, ERCS, FishTail, 5 Whys etc. to achieve objectives and implement correct ways of working for all Transport, Warehouse and Van Network processes and people.

* Driving improved performance through effective processes and coaching to lowest performing depots as part of a team.

* Challenging current working practices and ways of working and helping other leaders managers / colleagues understand the benefits of following Continuous Improvement & Bluebook processes.

* Demonstrating sustained operational KPI performance improvements over agreed timeframes.

* Ensuring the legal and compliant in all H&S standards and quality audits including supporting with Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work for all colleagues in the Depot.

* Ensuring all Transport requirements relating are managed correctly in line with O Licence regulations, Working Time Directive and Agency Working Regulations. Transport Best Practises are fully implemented, induction, rostering, assessments etc.

* Working in conjunction with Ops Development / Client Development, being responsible for the rollout of new processes across depot operations, ensuring they are fit for purpose and tailored to local needs, and that they are fully embedded and meet the required customer service.

* Leading your team through setting high standards in all people aspects. Such as Recruitment & Onboarding, Induction, Attrition, Sickness & Absence, Employee Relations, Development and Recognition. Also, maintaining the accuracy of people information on all Evri's internal systems.

* Experience of Stakeholder Management particularly in a matrix structure

* Evidence of using MI to develop insight into process failure and the ability to translate this into clear action plans

* Professional understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and evidence of using/implementing them in a standard processing environment

* Depth of experience in operational processes and ways of working including leading an operation.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* A strong motivator and ability to support and coach for performance

* Strong influencing skills

* Challenges poor workplace behaviour and role models the correct inclusive behaviour
