Product Developer - Food Manufacturing

Are you a creative and detail-oriented Product Developer with a passion for food and a strong background in NPD? We're working with a food manufacturer based in Aberdeen, seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join their Innovation team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in concept creation, customer presentations, and full product development, working closely with technical, compliance, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage sample submission forms and documentation using systems such as Hamilton Grant
* Collaborate with compliance to ensure sustainability data is provided for customers
* Work alongside Account Managers to deliver dedicated support to customer accounts
* Participate in brainstorming sessions and help generate blue-sky concepts and NPD ideas
* Manage product development from customer approval through to factory trials and process checks
* Organise product testing – including nutritional, shelf life, cook verification, and transit tests
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree or HND in a food science or food-related subject
* Previous experience in NPD or food product development, ideally within chilled or short shelf-life categories
* Passionate about food, highly creative, and enthusiastic about innovation
* Excellent project management and organisation skills – able to juggle multiple projects across different customers
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across departments including production
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Hamilton Grant or similar systems is an advantage
